• Using the latest version. I am noticing that Wordfence is blocking google on a few sites even though the option says NOT to block google. I looked up ip and it is registered as Google Inc.

Also – Wordfence has identified me as a human in the firewall and also as a bot, and a warning.

The firewall whitelists polish ip’s querying for ajax — under enabled in the whitelist settings there are two unlabeled checkboxes so hard to discern what the left checkbox selects as opposed to the right checkbox.

  • Hello caramiame,
could you take a screenshot of the log that shows google blocked and share it with me? You can upload it somewhere and link to it here or if you would rather keep it private email it to [email protected]. If you email, please link to this forum thread in the email.

A warning would be listed for anyone who accesses a page that results in a 404 (file not found). I’m not sure why you would be registering as a bot. Is your IP reported correctly in each of these instances?

In the Fireawall whitelisting the left row of checkboxes is for bulk actions and the right checkbox for individual actions.

Hi I sent email with logs. Let me know if irrelevant. lol. thanks for a great community product.

I’m having the same problem. It’s only blocking ads that come from the adsense plugin, if I do the codes manually they still work.

    Hello caramiame,
I did not receive your email because I typed the wrong address. Sorry! It’s supposed to be [email protected]. Can you try sending again please?

semperaye, if you would email me an example too that would be helpful. I’m interested in seeing all the details of the block.

    Hello caramiame,
I looked at your logs now. All the blocks of requests from google crawlers (some real, some fake) are manual blocks. This means an administrator on the site chose to block them (they are not getting automatically blocked by Wordfence). The setting to not block google bots does not override an admins manual blocks. So remove the blocks on the legit google bots (the “Mountainview” ones).

The file that shows a PHP error indicates your server ran out of memory. It’s not trying to request a lot of memory so there must be a lot of stuff going on on the server at the same time. You might want to install P3 Performance Profiler to check if any plugins are using an unusual amount of resources.

i too am having some google bot issues. i’ve emailed you wfasa…

specifically, the wordfence live activity is saying that a particular file on our server is non-existent when in fact it is. i’ve verified with our hosting company that everything is working as it should and they have suggested reaching out to you…

    Hello sferris73,
I have replied to your email. I hope you are able to sort it.

Is there a conflict with the plugin? I have installed Wordfence and now my ads do not show, just a blank space where the ad should be. Any luck figuring out the problem? I still have the same problem even when I disable the Wordfence plugin. Seems once I have it installed, ads don’t show. They were showing prior to me installing Wordfence plugin on many of my sites. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
