Wordfence Broken 6.3.1

  • Latest Version is Broken. Do not update. Will get the following Error or it will take you over an hour to Scan, if it ever completes at all.

    [Feb 09 21:55:10] Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/pctheufo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceScanner.php on line 312.
    Using 64bit Windows7 / WordPress Tempera Theme.

    Plugin deleted.

    It is not universally “broken” as you suggest. I’m running the latest version on over a dozen client sites without difficulty.

    Clearly there is something incompatible with either your server config, your site, or other plug-ins, so maybe tone-down your “DO NOT UPDATE” rhetoric a notch or two.
