    Hi,
On one of my sites I have the following warning in the scan activity:

[Sep 16 08:09:36] Wordfence can’t get the IP of clients and therefore can’t operate. We received IP: . X-Forwarded-For was: REMOTE_ADDR was: 85.53.173.22 Headers that may contain the client IP: REMOTE_ADDR => 85.53.173.22 SERVER_ADDR => 84.18.207.60

I’ve just updated to version 5.2.4, but when I check my activity log these errors have been logged for at least the last 6 days. After checking the forum I’ve tried adjusting the “How does Wordfence get IPs” from “Use IP’s built in REMOTE_ADDR.” to the other 4 options (excluding CloudFare), but the warning remains.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for getting back.

In the meantime I tried deactivating all the plugins (including Wordfence), and then reactivating them one by one to rule out a conflict. Now the issue seems to have resolved itself. The warning has gone, and admin logins are showing from the correct IP.
