    Sorry you are having issues. On your options page, have you looked under the part that says “How Wordfence get’s IP’s” and selected the one that says “I’m using Cloudflare so use the..”? Should be the last option in the drop down selection.

    Sorry. I missed that. Do you also have the Cloudflare plugin installed?

    damoncloudflare usually watches for cases like these. He might be able to help as well.

    Not sure what’s happening here. The IP address showing is IPv6.

    Hi Damon,

    We don’t currently support IPv6 and looks like the host is using IPv6 for that request.

    Is this a test machine you folks are running?

    We’re looking at adding IPv6 support soon.

    We actually aren’t testing IPv6 & have had IPv6 live for a few years now. Most customers have this feature turned on.

    I’ve turned off all my IPv6 because of this. I host on Dreamhost and used to have IPv6 addresses, but didn’t get much use out of them. No big loss for me.

    Cloudflare settings: Automatic IPv6 is off; Pseudo IPv4 is also off.

    As soon as Wordfence supports IPv6, I’ll turn it back on.

    I tried turning off Auto V6 & Pseudo v4 and these errors haven’t stopped

    Can you turn off IPv6 at your host? That’s the first thing I did when I discovered this issue. Even with Cloudflare IPv6 turned off, my site sends itself many requests.

    Oh, the IP address you posted *is* a Dreamhost server. From Manage Domains, I did the “Add IP” option, then got an IPv6 address. I think my IPv6 address started showing up on my Manage Domains page. I’ve since deleted the entries, so I don’t remember how I did it.

    The Pseudo IPV4 option in cloudflare is the magic that makes this go away. Select that option, and choose “Overwrite”. This replaces all headers that contain IPV6 with an IPV4 version.

    So that’s what fixed it? And that’s in your cloudflare options of your hoster? I’m asking for clarification because others that see this may appreciate the help. Since I personally don’t have a site that uses it I’m interested as well.

    I highly recommend using cloudflare with one of your sites. The free level is excellent.

    As sdayman noted above I use dreamhost and since they support both IPv4 and IPv6 I use both.

    On cloudflare, IPv6 was on — that might be their default. I shut it off.
    The next option is Pseudo IPv4

    I had that enabled, but there’s an option I hadn’t tried, to overwrite headers. I turned that on and wordfence’s constant error stream was gone.
