Hi @guckmada,
Generally speaking, there’s no set amount of resources that we know Wordfence will definitely use in every case and could be affected by things like shared hosting, available RAM/CPU, or a large quantity of installed WordPress plugins (or a large number of files on the site in general) that results in more queries.
In our 7.11.7 update in July we reduced database queries by 38% across our tests, along with CPU usage, and are always working towards improving this for our customers where possible. Wordfence is installed on 5m+ sites without significant issues so it’s more common to see connections maxing out on shared servers, or ones that are under-provisioned in some way.
I’d be happy to view your diagnostic report from the?Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics?menu to see if anything stands out. You can send that to us at?wftest @ wordfence . com. Click on?“Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and?respond here after you have sent it.
NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email
Thanks,
Peter.
