I have been having issues with logging into the wordpress backend page of my site after installing Wordfence. When I try to log in, I get notified by wordfence that someone logged in, but the login page just refreshes instead. So I am unable to log in.

I deactivated and deleted Wordfence yesterday and today, I am able to login in.

Hi @romantroman, thanks for your message and sorry to see you had that issue.

There was an issue a while back for some customers where hitting the return/enter key would sometimes act in this way whereas clicking the Login button would take you to the admin dashboard as normal. If you’re on Wordfence 7.9.2+ though this shouldn’t be the case, but at least wanted to check as it sounds similar.

Our Login Security features (2FA/reCAPTCHA) are designed for the default WordPress and WooCommerce login/registration pages so custom login pages from themes or plugins could present a similar issue.

If you don’t have either of those cases, I’d attempt clearing any caching you have on your server or WordPress site after installing Wordfence to see if that resolves the ability to see the dashboard after signing in.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
