Hi there, I’ve suddenly started receiving Wordfence Central emails with subject lines such as “Wordfence Central Alert: 3 scan findings on site…”. I remember setting up Central a long time ago but haven’t used it for a while. Not sure why these emails have suddenly started. My problem is that when I try and log in to Wordfence Central my username and password is correct but it’s asking for a 2FA code. I don’t have this site in my authenticator app, or any recovery codes. How can I log in? Are you able to resend recovery codes to the email address on the account? Thanks.

  • Hey @robdobson,

Are you able to share your Wordfence username and two sites you have in Wordfence Central? If so, I’ll take a look at the account, generate backup codes and send them to the associated email address.

    Please let me know,

    Thanks,

Thanks Gerroald. I sure can. The username is wpmaintenance. And two sites are bcntranslation dot com and semlondon dot com. Thanks. ??

    Hey @robdobson,

I’ve sent the backup codes to the email associated with the account username you shared. Please let me know if you’re able to log in.

    Thanks,

I’m in Gerroald. Thanks so much.

@wfgerald I have excactly the same problem as Rob, but I’m not comfortable sharing my username on open forum. How can I log in to WF Central?

Same question here. Why am I suddenly getting all these emails from work fence Central?

Me too. I’ve never done anything with WordFence Central; I always uncheck the box when I install WordFence on a new site. For the last couple of days I’ve been getting duplicate notifications, one from WordFence & one from WordFence Central, both saying the same thing.

Unfortunately this has been marked as ‘Resolved’. There is obviously a problem as several users have reported it.
Why has the operation suddenly changed, and how can anyone get into WordFence Central without 2fa?

I marked this thread as resolved as my initial problem with getting into Wordfence Central using 2FA was fixed by providing the necessary details.

But why I have suddenly started receiving a ton of emails from Wordfence Central I do not know. Something has obviously changed their end.

I don’t get notification emails from the plugin on the website any longer. But I get emails rom Wordfence Central for alerts that aren’t activated, such as when an admin user logs in.

So something is clearly afoot. But this thread has been closed for the initial query.

I have the same basic issue – I’ve never registered or set up Wordfence Central before, and trying to set it up now. I can log in with username and password, but can’t get past the 2FA stage. Gerroald can you help please ?
