• Hi!

I’m trying to connect several sites to my Wordfece Central and I’m having some issues:

After checking the site’s URL, when trying to load the Wordfence settings page (https://[site-url]/wp-admin/admin.php?page=WordfenceCentral&grant=XXXX…) it loads a white WordPress page with the message Sorry, you do not have permissions to access this page.

I tried to connect the site from both sides, Wordfence Central Dashboard and the site’s Wordfence Dashboard and none of them works.

How can I solve this issue?

    Thanks in advance. Regards

Hi @juliamb, thanks for getting in touch!

I’m aware you’ve tried to connect from both sides, and there can be occasionally issues with hidden/changed login page URLs or other plugins blocking the REST API but I think it’s worth clearing data on both sides too just in case it was a temporary issue.

Use the trash icon under the “Connection Issues” tab in Wordfence Central itself to remove the site. In the plugin, expand the Other Tests section on the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page and press the button to clear all Wordfence Central connection data. Now try to connect to Wordfence Central from the Wordfence Central Status widget on the Wordfence plugin Dashboard as you have before and let us know if that fixes it.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi

I’m having similar problem but no white screen, my sites do work, it’s just wordfence and I have tried your suggestion above but it hasn’t worked. I have 2 websites and this has happened to both my sites, i have only noticed today when i haven’t been getting a notification email when i log into my website either. I tried rolling back to earlier version of wordfence aswell but this didn’t resolve it either.

    I noticed this error:

wp_remote_post() test back to this server failed! Response was: cURL error 7:

    Kind regards

    Jo

    Hi! Thanks for your response.

I’ve tried your solution @wfpeter, and when trying to clean all connection data a modal prompts with the following message:
Unable to communicate with Wordfence Central
