Wordfence could not get an API key from the Wordfence scanning servers

Hi there, of late, I get the following error message: https://s27.postimg.org/cxj6pqvfn/image001.jpg
The only solution is to disable and re-enable the wordfence plugin. What’s causing this to happen? Is there a permanent solution to this?
The site is on a managed GoDaddy WordPress server.
