• Hi, I have found that the Wordfence plugin has been deactivated on our site. This is the second time and both times, I did not get an alert email. How do I check what’s happening please?

Hi @karencheah, thanks for getting in touch with us.

Wordfence doesn’t deactivate itself, although we are aware of instances where certain hosting platforms deactivate Wordfence. If the alteration is made outside of WordPress due to a hosting policy, for example, the notification may not be triggered like it would when somebody has access to an administrator account.

Rather than ask for sensitive information about your site here publicly, by all means send a diagnostic to us at wftest @ wordfence . com directly using the link at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

This should let us see if something about your configuration or host may have been the cause.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

Thanks, I have reactivated Wordfence and sent the report by email as advised. Hope you can help figure out the issue.

Hi again, just wondering if was uncovered in the diagnostic report emailed a week ago. I’m waiting to follow up with hosting provider if it appears that they have deactivated the plugin. Thanks.
