Wordfence doesn’t follow user language preferences

    We have a fresh WordPress (6.4.2) website with only 3 plugins installed, one of them is Wordfence. The site language is set to Chinese, but we manage the website in English, so all user profiles are set to use English.

    When we log into the backend, WordPress and all other plugin admin pages are being displayed in English, with the exception of Wordfence.

    Wordfence stands out by showing all its admin pages in Chinese and it sends out notification emails in Chinese as well, which is driving our English-only website admin crazy.

    The only way we know to force Wordfence to use English in admin pages is to switch “Site language” to English, which we can’t do in this case.

    We do NOT have any translation plugins installed on this site.

    Is it possible to make Wordfence follow profile language instead of site language?

    Hi @neufsky, thank you for reaching out.

    In the Debugging Options section on the Tools >> Diagnostics page can you disable the option Enable Wordfence translations.

    Press the SAVE CHANGES button.
