I had to uninstall Wordfence temporarily but now that I have reinstalled it it asks me for the license, I used the free version before, I also tried to download the fee version in zip format from the site but it is not possible to download it, can anyone help me? Thank you.

Hi @userweb, thanks for getting in touch!

Any sites installed before the free license changes in late 2022 will have a key generated automatically by Wordfence, which would have continued to work. However, new installations will require the following process (there’s a video in addition to text instructions): https://www.wordfence.com/help/api-key/#installing-your-free-license-key

There’s no limit to the amount of free sites a single email address can register, so if you have multiple sites to manage, you won’t be restricted in any way from getting the plugin set up.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

Hi, thanks for the help, I solved it now, but does it only last 30 days or even after? Thank you.

    Hi @userweb,

The license will last the entire duration that Wordfence is installed, so there’s no limit to how long you can use the Free version of the plugin for. It’s not a 30-day trial or anything like that.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

No worries @userweb! If you have further Wordfence questions in future by all means start up a new topic any time.

    Peter.
