    Hi,

I have been using the falcon engine option on several non https sites and it absolutely does a great job speeding things up!

However, recently I started a website with Woocommerce and SSL certificate on all pages ( except the checkout etc pages ).

It seems the falcon engine does not work as soon as htpps is in the mix? I can not see speed improvement like in the other sites with wordfence falcon engine on and also never see any pages being cached if I tell to clear the cache it always says 0 pages cleared.

Is this a known issue or should I do something else here?
Tried to enable https in the settings, but that does not seem to make any difference either?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Annie,

Are you logged into you WordPress admin console when you are browsing your site and looking for cached pages? If so, try on another system not logged in as an admin. Also, try enabling the hidden debugging data to the HTML to see if the pages are actually being cached.

    https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Falcon_Cache#Allow_SSL_pages_to_be_cached

Here is a document that explains support for Woocommerce with Wordfence:

    Thanks!

    Hi Brian,

    I figured it out!
It was a caching thing in both my most used browsers Firefox and Chrome!

I checked and could not even see the HTML message, but could see it in Opera and Safari browsers and speed was so much better in these two.

I did clear browser cache, but I used chrome and firefox add ons to do that. Appearently they did not do what they promised, leaving me with older cashed paged still slow and not showing the power of the Falcon engine.

After I cleared the cache the old fashion way haha, I could see the html message and pages were fast!

Not sure about this though, maybe you would like to give me some advice?

For now I have the option set to: “Allow SSL to be cached”
However the checkout pages and registration pages should not be cached, otherwise the next person to pay or regitre will see the previous data if I am not mistaken?

This is the site should you like to have a look:
    https://wordpress-online-cursus.nl/

My whole site is on https ( since Google lets us know that will score points in search engines.. ) so I would like to keep it that way for the whole site, not only the sensitive pages.

How can i still benefite the power of falcon engine ( I suppose I ablolutely need to check the “allow SSL to be cahed” to make that happen?

Should I exclude manually only the sensitive data pages in falcons options or is there another way?

Thanks for helping me out here!!

    Hmmmmmm

Testing here, seems even if I have the ” Allow SSL to be cached” falcon engine already knows “respects” the shop, newsletter and course registration pages?

I can see the html message on all except these pages so suppose I can leave the “alow SSL pages to be cached” it will automatically not cache the pages that collect private information, is that correct?

I want to make sure ofcourse that customers can safely registre and pay without the following user seeing all their private information.

    Thanks!

    Annie,

Wordfence does respect constants used for preventing caching that other plugins set, such as “DONOTCACHEPAGE”. It usually depends on the other plugins on the site, probably woocommerce itself, in this case.

Still, even if it is working correctly right now, in case of changes in any plugins in the future (Wordfence or your other plugins), I would recommend adding the sensitive pages to the cache exclusions on the Performance Setup page on the Wordfence menu.

The easiest way is to choose “URL Starts With” in the first box, and enter the page in the second box (like /cart/ or /winkelwagen/ on your site), to be certain that it will not be cached.

    Hi Matt,

Great I will do that to make sure.
    Thanks for the good advice!
