  • Hi,

Is your site installed in a subdirectory? Here is a link to another thread that may be similar to the issue you are experiencing.

Yes, it is in a subdirectory, so I guess it is the same bug as in the other thread. do you want any other info from me to help track it down?

    Hi,

We have it logged to be fixed in an upcoming release. I’ll add this post as another reference. If you do not need Live Traffic, you can disable and the errors will stop. That’s the current workaround. I’m going to mark this as resolved for now since the issue is being addressed.

    Thanks!
    Brian

I had Live Trafic disabled but wordfence crawl error didn’t stop… so now I enabled it, to see what happens. I have it in a subdirectory, but don’t know what to do and how to fix it?!

mteodor: Are you using the latest version of Wordfence, 6.0.20? The link generated by Wordfence has changed since the original post, but it’s possible for Google to attempt crawling old links for quite a while after they have been removed from a site. Usually they will mostly stop after a few months, but sometimes they can take longer.

    Hi WFMattR
I am using a GSA to index my WordPress Multisite project and I have found a lot of requests to URLs as https://www.mydomain.com/site1/?wordfence_loghuman=1&hid=55cde41af7dce29dc9c99de092159b92.

I have included in rules like robots.txt Disallow: /?wordfence_loghuman=, but requests are still being made.

How I can do to prevent the GSA from indexing these URLs?
Can I block URLs as wordfence_loghuman= in .htaccess? Or are they necessary?

@jantonio.giron: You can stop the appliance from collecting additional URLs like these by turning off “Enable Live Traffic View” on the Wordfence Options page, if you don’t require the Live Traffic view — the GSA may still continue checking old URLs it has already collected for a while, though. I’m not that familiar with GSAs, but if you have the option to ignore certain URL parameters like in the public Google Search Console, you could add “wordfence_loghuman” and “hid” to the ignored parameters.

If you still have trouble, can you make a new post using the form at the bottom of the page at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordfence ? This is a bit of a different issue since the GSA is involved. Thanks!
