Wordfence Htaccess

  • Hello. I want to ask you that if i delete my old .htacceas file or if i wanted to create a New .htaccess file. So how the Wordfence Code will come into new .htaccess file & the Wordfence should start working again.

    I am already using Wordfence Plugin.

  • Hi @saimrasheed,

    When you delete .htaccess, the Wordfence advanced firewall will no longer run. A message should appear at the top of your WordPress dashboard telling you to configure the firewall again.

    However, I would recommend first deactivating the firewall from Wordfence -> Firewall first, and then deleting .htacceess.

    how to de activate fireall. and after de activating firewall and thene deleting .htaccess and after making new .htaccess and then enabling firewall again. the wordfence code will automatically comes in new htaccess file?
