    Sorry to hear you are having problems with Wordfence. This is a bug and will be fixed in the next release of Wordfence (Wordfence 7.0.2) which should be out soon.

    Please note that we do not collect your email unless you choose to share it with us. When you enter your email there is an option to select whether you want to sign up for our mailing list or not. If you do not select this option, the email is stored in your WordPress installation and used for your own notifications only. You can configure your email and notifications in Dashboard > Global Options.

    Hello Wfasa,

    I have updated wordfence on all our sites and on all of them I’ getting the screen saying “Wordfence installation is incomplete” and a popup screen say “Please complete your wordfence installation – Tell Us Where Wordfence Can Send Alerts”

    I’ve added our email address and saved it unticking the mailing list option.

    It save’s at the time but I’m not getting any alerts from Wordfence. When I sign into my site again I’m faced with the same problem.

    Would you be able to help me?

    That sounds like a different problem than what was discussed in this thread. Sounds like your Wordfence options aren’t saving. I would recommend you try saving another option, refresh the page and then see if the option was actually saved or not. Once you’ve done that, please create your own thread and report your findings and a support agent will help you asap.

    It appears that a lot of people are experiencing this problem. I am experiencing it on all my client’s sites, using Wordfence 7.1.7. It appears to show all the same symptoms as the OP and subsequent commenters describe.

    Using the link you provided gives a search bar which, if you search for ‘installation incomplete’, gives this exact page! Can you see why this could be frustrating? It would be great if you could provide some more specific resources here.
