Wordfence is flagging a Shield file as modified

    Hi — since at least Shield 15.0.12 (possibly earlier), Wordfence (yes, I use both) is flagging the following file as “modified from the file that is distributed by www.ads-software.com for this version.”

    wp-content/plugins/wp-simple-firewall/src/lib/src/Rules/rules.json

    As far as I can tell, the original version of this file is blank. My assumption is that Shield writes to this file as it operates, and so the fact that it shows as modified from the original version is normal and nothing to worry about, but can I get a confirmation that this is the case? Thanks!

    What you say is the case. We’ll be adjusting the location of the file in the next release so this shouldn’t happen going forward.
