    Hello,

Wordfence is locking me out again and again every day two to three times. Even it sign out me automatically. I am fed up.
This is the message I am getting on the screen-
    “You are temporarily locked out
You have been temporarily locked out of this system. This means that you will not be able to sign-in or use several other features that may compromise security. Please try back in a short while.
Return to the site home page
Attempt to return to the admin login page (you may still be locked out)
If you are a site administrator and have been accidentally locked out, please enter your email in the box below and click “Send”. If the email address you enter belongs to a known site administrator or someone set to receive Wordfence alerts, we will send you an email to help you regain access. Please read this FAQ entry if this does not work.”

I need a resolution soon. I am also planning to buy a paid version.

  • This isn’t really enough info to help. Can you attach a screenshot of your login security options and your live traffic?

    Hello,
I deleted wordfence plugin from my cpanel and then again installed. But couple of later again I am being locked. Help would be appreciated.
I didn’t see any options to upload a screenshot here.

Since you mentioned that the IP address that was locked out was your server’s IP address, do you know if you are using a “reverse proxy,” such as Varnish or CloudFlare? Your host could tell you, if you are not sure — reverse proxies can make your site faster, but they hide the real IP address from Wordfence and WordPress.

If using Varnish, I would recommend disabling it for your site, if possible.

If using any other reverse proxy, you will need to change the Wordfence option “How does Wordfence get IPs”, explained here:
    https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options#How_does_Wordfence_get_IPs

Once you have chosen another option, you can verify that it is working correctly by viewing the Live Traffic page (you will have to turn off Falcon temporarily), and make sure that new pageviews are appearing with different IP addresses.
