• Although I continue to give Wordfence 5 stars, I am not able to use the plugin on two of my websites. The best summary of the problem is in this email from my web host.

“I have checked this issue with one of our Technical Specialists and found that the WordPress websites exceeding the query limit. This is the reason you are getting an error. So I suggest you please disable the recently installed plugins and verify.”

I have actually being usually Wordfence for some time, and continue to use Wordfence on other sites. I believe that the problem began with a Wordfence update. There is a conflict somewhere within these websites and Wordfence. I had problems with installing earlier updates on Wordfence on these sites.

I deactivated Wordfence on the two sites where my sites being offline from excessive database queries. The sites are again online and, now that I deactivated Wordfence, the database overload is no longer a problem.

I thought you should know about this issue.

Thank you for the excellent work that you do to keep WordPress secure.
