WordFence keeps asking me to complete the configuration settings

    I am on a Cloudways server and WordFence keeps asking me to complete the configuration settings over and over again even though I have already done it a few times! I have checked this thread and the entries are there, nothing has been removed. I have seen that happen countless times. Is there a permanent solution?

    Hi @quantum_leap, thanks for getting in touch.

    On Cloudways, it’s been common in the past for Malcare to take control of your auto_prepend_file directive. I have seen the “Cloudways Bot Protection” feature needing to be disabled for it to keep the WAF optimized consistently which could be a cause of this. Please reach out to their support if you need any assistance with making this change.

    Sometimes when this occurs, re-optimizing Wordfence using the INCLUDE option in the wizard will ensure more than one product requiring auto_prepend_file in your .htaccess/.user.ini can do so.
