• Hi. I’ve been trying to update my WordPress pages and when I click update, I receive an error message.

    403 Forbidden

A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site, and has been blocked by Wordfence.

If you are an administrator and you are certain this is a false positive, you can automatically whitelist this request and repeat the same action.

I checked “I am certain this is a false positive.” and refreshed the page and am still presented with the 403 message.

May I know how to solve this? Thank you.

    Hi,

On the Firewall page, can you temporarily switch back to learning mode, edit the page, and then switch the firewall back to Enabled? This should let the firewall learn which parameters were causing an issue — it may be a plugin that uses different parameter names or if this does not help, it might be a file permissions issue.

If you can also post a list of the new parameters that are shown in the whitelist after that, we can look at whitelisting the necessary parameters for everyone with the plugin.

We have more details on working with Learning Mode here:

Matt, I’m having this issue with Beaver Builder when attempting to insert an HTML Module with an iframe for embedding a Youtube video. Switching to learning mode works, but, is there a way to whitelist the Param for the whole site, rather than each individual URL? If not, I’ll have to switch off the firewall. Thanks.
