wordfence scan not completing

    Hi there, something has changed recently when my wordfence scan will not complete. It gets stuck at this stage:

    [Jul 23 12:27:58]Comparing core WordPress files against originals in repository…..
    [Jul 23 12:27:58]Skipping theme scanDisabled [Visit Options to Enable]
    [Jul 23 12:27:58]Skipping plugin scanDisabled [Visit Options to Enable]
    [Jul 23 12:27:58]Scanning for known malware files………

    So the first and last stages there are scanning but never complete. I have tried setting the Maximum execution time for each scan stage to 15 and then to 90 which is 80% of my max execution time (150). I am running on Lite Speed server which I have read can cause problems. Test of memory reveals:

    –Starting test–
    Current maximum memory configured in php.ini: 1024M
    Current memory usage: 31.75M
    Setting max memory to 90M.
    Starting memory benchmark. Seeing an error after this line is not unusual. Read the error carefully
    to determine how much memory your host allows. We have requested 90 megabytes.
    Completing test after benchmarking up to 84.00 megabytes.
    –Test complete.–

    Also auto update does not seem to work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Do you know when the last successful scan ran, and if there were any other updates to plugins or server software around that time?

    This article may or may not help — LiteSpeed can stop a scan early, it might not be the same problem you are having:

    I think that was the problem, after updating my htaccess it seems to finish scans. Thanks

    My first wordfence scan is not completed. It gets stuck at this stage:

    Iam running on Microsoft-IIS/8.5 server. Test of memory reveals-
    Current maximum memory configured in php ini: 256M
    Current memory usage: 7.50 M
    Setting mex. memory to 90M
    Starting memory benchmark. Seeing an error after this line is not unusual. Read the error carefully to determine how much memory your host allows. We have requested 90 Megabytes.
    Completing test after benchmark up to 80.25 megabytes.
    ————Test Completed————
    Ihave tried these settings to fix the error-
    1)Setting the maximum execution time for each scan to 15 and then 48 which is 80% of my max.execution time (60).
    2) Increase memory from 256 to 300 and 350.
    3)Disabling live traffic
    4)Deactivate plugin and rectivate again for two times.
    But all these settings are not worked. Kindly help me to solve this error.
