Wordfence scanning comments – WordPress thinks there aren’t any

    I’m running a WF scan for the first time on a WP + Woocommerce install that I don’t suspect of any security issues. Other than one or two plugin updates, the scan reports no issues.

    However, WordPress thinks there are no comments, live, pending approval or otherwise on the site. Wordfence thought it scanned over 34,000 of them!

    Who’s right, and do I need to be worried?

  • Hi! Woocommerce stores some product information in the WordPress comments table so that is what you are seeing here. Why they do that I’m not sure. You would have to check with them.
