wordfence & wordpress are not working together!!

    all I can say is that the recent changes in wordfence & in wordpress are at odds with one another and totally screwing up updates … downloads.www.ads-software.com isn’t working and wordfence has some convoluted complicated security related changes that totally suck and are confusing

    this is getting ridiculous because nothing is being done to correct it and I’m seeing more and more other related problems posted here as well

  • Yes, I also ran into challenges with Wordfence following the recent major update and still have it disabled on one site.

    However, in fairness, they have been very proactive in trying to assist me.

    I’m using the Pro version (or should I say, not using).

    here’s something I found that may help determine or identify what the hell is going on …. I use the free version on a lot of my blogs & they all having problems with downloads.www.ads-software.com and the wordfence scan ….

    DNS lookup for noc1.wordfence.com returns: noc1.wordfence.com

    This message means that your server’s DNS is broken or not working. It’s that simple. You posted the same problem in another thread, regarding downloads.www.ads-software.com.

    This is not a WordPress issue. It’s an issue with your web server itself. You need to contact your host and have them fix your DNS. There is no other fix possible. The DNS must be repaired.

    problem was a dns setting that was incorrectly changed on my lamp cloud server
