  • Hello Don,
we have a bug filed for this. Our internal reference number is FB2298. It will be fixed in a future version. Please note that this is only a notice and it will not affect your scans or firewall. Your file has not been hacked.

I have the same error followed by the line

    `Core dumped: Aborted

And the website is immediately down.

    Hello dkaranth,
I could be wrong but I don’t think “Core dumped” is directly related to this notice. Any chance you could check with your web host about the “Core dumped” message? It sounds like an error handling process on your server that is malfunctioning.

I can confirm that I downgraded to the previous version of wordfence and my site is no longer crashing.

    dkaranth,
I can’t guarantee 100% that this is what is happening but it sounds like your server crashes when it’s trying to deal with a PHP notice. So while downgrading or upgrading (later) might work because there is no PHP notice being generated by Wordfence I would still suggest you check that with your webhost because it is not normal behavior.

“coreUnknown” bug has been fixed. Setting this to resolved.
