WordPress 2.1 All Pages Load Slow

I know there are a lot of posts like this, but my story seems to be a little different.

I installed version 2.1 for a domain, techopedia.org. It works, but every page takes 40 seconds to load. The stats in the footer say, 14 queries. 40.302 seconds.

I have another blog, brianshoff.com, version 2.0.1 and the stats for this page read, 14 queries. 40.302 seconds.

Both blogs are the same server. Only the versions are different.

However, I did notice the admin page loads super slow, that’s news and I haven’t even begun to look into that issue.

Any suggestions concerning my 2.1 issues would be appreciated.
