WordPress 2.5 and stats plugin

My problem is happening to both of my blogs.

You don’t seem to have <?php wp_footer(); ?> in either blog just before </body> in your footer.php.

I still can’t see the WordPress stat.
I have tried with the default theme: still asking for username/password and replying “ERROR: Incorrect password.” When asking for new password, it does not recognise the email I give.
I have put the code line <?php wp_footer(); ?> into my theme: same result.

This is the WordPress.com password and username. You got that when you received your API key. You have to use the email you used when you got the key. If you do not have a key, stats will not work.

I am having this same weirdness. I have recent posts, comments, top comments on my sidebar so I assume it’s the same problem as mentioned above. I’ll just stick with the google analytics data for now. Just wanted to point out that I was experiencing weirdness as well on https://www.dewknight.com

for some reason my stats (https://crumaharashop.com) start counting for the next day at 7pm its kind of annoying. The time on my blog is set correctly and the posts show the correct time when I post them. Any ideas?

Stats only sees three pages on my blog, with the overwhelming majoring of hits all being listed as just one page. My blog is https://itsvista.com

Most hits are listed as: https://itsvista.com/2007/01/itsvista-tip-16-using-vista-to-zip-and-unzip-files-and-folders/

These two pages get stats that look normal:
https://itsvista.com/google-search/
https://itsvista.com/windows-vista-keyboard-shortcuts/
No other pages show up in Stats.

I was using the Recent Posts plugin, I’ve disabled it and it’s library plugin, but I’m still having the same Stats problem.

I can’t get any stats on my blog either… any ideas? The blog website is:

jpfieber Try moving the code below feedburner. Also turn feedburner off and see if that helps.

@kmessinger Thanks for the response. I poked around, and I tracked down the problem. It’s the wp-PostViews plugin. I’m checking with the author for a fix, but I wonder if your plugin could have a better way of harvesting the page info to avoid issues like this. Google Analytics and Feedburner are collecting the correct info, only the WordPress stats are incorrect. Here’s my message to the wp-PostViews author:

I just tracked down my WordPress Stats problem to your plugin. Almost all of my pageviews are being counted under one page on WordPress Stats (making it useless). I’ve found that ‘the_permalink()’ before ‘get_most_viewed()’ shows the permalink of the current page, but after ‘get_most_viewed()’ shows the permalink of the last listed popular page, breaking any call to ‘the_permalink’ that follows your plugin. Any resolution to this?

I’ve added <?php wp_footer(); ?> to the footer.php file. Hopefully we’ll see some stats soon… thanks!!

The author has a fix for wp-postview, my stats are now collecting properly. See https://forums.lesterchan.net/index.php/topic,1583.msg15666.html#msg15666

That plugin is still not woking on my blog. I dunno why.
