WordPress 2.5 Gallery

    I am currently evaluating which light* gallery function I would like to implement for my WP installation, but I forgot that WP already comes with a basic Gallery functionality.

    Does WP comes with some light*-like image viewing script out of the box?

    I see that when opening the WP media library, there is a similar light* animation (with a candy-like progress bar), but I can’t see to implement this animation when adding a [gallery] into my posts and pages.

    I have also noticed that on this WP site (https://paulstamatiou.com/2008/03/29/wordpress-25-gallery-test/dsc_0025) the author managed to do exactly what I want (that is, using WP library with a light*-like script).
