• I noticed in 2.3.3 WordPress did a good job of keeping me logged in, but in 2.5 its so bad I can’t even comment on posts. See I go to my homepage, I go to the bottom and sign in, once I do (and yes I checked the “Keep Me Signed In” box) it brings me to the WP-Admin panel, so I press ‘View Site” then I’m logged out. Then that repeats… Now occasionally, I’ll stay logged in there, but once I click a post to comment, then BAM! I’m logged out…

Never had problems like this in 2.3.3, but I love 2.5’s new features so I really don’t want to downgrade for this small small problem. Any help? Or is this a all around bug?

Have you tried clearing your cookies and cache, closing your browser, restarting it and trying again?

Hmm, had a similar problem myself, using IE.

I don’t have that problem, not in FF, not in IE, not in Browzar and I don’t even check the “keep me logged in” radiobutton.

Could be something to do with this…

Secure cookies — cookies are now encrypted based on the protocol described in this PDF paper. which is something like user name|expiration time|HMAC( user name|expiration time, k) where k = HMAC(user name|expiration time, sk) and where sk is a secret key, which you can define in your config.
