• I just installed WordPress 2.9 for a new site of mine. The blog appears fine until I log into wp-admin and the dashboard isn’t appearing correctly. Please help!

I took a screenshot of my my dashboard:

Are you using Godaddy free hosting? If so, it doesn’t play nicely with WordPress from what I hear, but this thread might help you.

Yes I am at the moment, but I’ll be changing to paid-hosting soon. Thanks I’ll check out that link.

That thread isn’t quite the same as my problem, and as far as I can tell it doesn’t offer any solutions. Still looking for help!

I dunno, that third post by Stefano looks like it might be worth a shot.

Updated to paid hosting from free hosting and that fixed everything ?? Apparently, godaddy free hosting is incompatible with wordpress.

Stefano’s fix is awesome. Between adjusting script-loader.php and using the css code on the admin style sheet it works great.

I had to upgrade to a paying account because I realized that the RSS will not work with the free account.

It looks like the stylesheet for the admin area is missing. Or perhaps the templates for the admin area have been messed with.

    Perhaps re-upload the admin theme?
