WordPress 2.9.2 Update

    Hi,

    So basically, WordPress has prompted me to update, however I have edited the sidebar widget function a bit, and was wondering if this will ‘override’ that?

    What does it update exactly?

  • you edited it where? If it is within your theme, the update won’t affect that (Unless you did it to the default theme?)

    All WP core files, and Default + Classic theme will be overwritten

    Uploaded themes aren’t touched (although you should have a backup before editing)

    If you edited core files (stuff in wp-includes and wp-admin folder), the changes will be lost. Of course, it’s never a good idea to mess with any of those file anyway

    I removed the div that wraps around custom text on the sidebars because it was giving some annoying margins. I’ve forgotten where that file would be now though..

    I’ll just update it and see what happens, after I’ve updated ??
