• Using WordPress 3.0 menu’s system, I’m trying to find a solution to implement drop down menus into my website.

I’m currently using a modified version of the TwentyTen theme and I have setup a custom menu, however when I indent menus items under the main button (the one that I want to trigger the drop down menu), it simply shows the indented item.

Is there a plugin that’s compatible with WordPress 3.0 to create a drop down menu system or is that built into WordPress 3.0?

  • the menu system is built into WP 3.0

the behaviour your describing is not standard for the menu…. I’m wondering if you have something conflicting? A coding error, or plugin or something

@rvoodoo – I modified the theme. Perhaps it’s a CSS issue. Thanks for the tip.

@rvoodoo – I turned the Twenty Ten theme on for my site and the button that had a menu item underneath it didn’t even show up.

Is there any other plugin method to implement a drop-down menu system?

Did you ever solve this. With the standard menu using a theme the dropdowns work, but with the WordPress 3.0 dynamic menu it does not. Maybe it is simply a class issue. For most dropdown mootools or son of suckerfish are used by the way.
