• sorry but it is the truth – it destroyed 3 of my websites and once I got them running again continues to be a problem as none of the plugins I was using wordpress for – work anymore because they haven’t been upgraded for 3.2 – pretty lame

  • That’s a problem with your plugins, not with WordPress. You should take it up with the plugin authors. I have used (and continue to use) WordPress on dozens of websites, including highly complex ones, without any problems.

    Yours is one of the reasons I try to use as few plugins as possible — you never know if or when plugin authors will update the plugins to be compatible with the latest version of WordPress. I can’t blame them — they usually build the plugins for free so they have no incentive to update them (and make those updates public).

    It sounds like the issue here is with the plugins, not WordPress itself. Have you contacted your plugin developers to ask them about updating their plugins or searched for a different plugin that does the same job but works with the current version of WordPress?
