wordpress 3.3.1 site running slow

Not sure if your problem is hosting related.

Please disable or delete all plugins and switch to the default theme (TwentyEleven since 3.3). After making these changes does the slowness still occur? If no, re-enable everything one by one to see which component causes the problem.

edmay, I took a look at your setup.

Please upgrade! Version 3.3.1 is old and less secure than the current 3.4.2. This goes for your plugins as well (I see 4 plugins that need updating, as well as Akismet and Hello Dolly, which get updated with a core upgrade).

You may need to consider a caching plugin. Your site gets a pretty good chunk of traffic (your bandwidth is about 300megs a day, not bad! ?? ) We recommend using WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache to speed things up.
