Actually, this update has been relatively uneventful. Bearing in mind that WP 3.5 has already been downloaded over 1 million times, the percentage of problems has been pretty small and – apart from one rather esoteric IIS issue – all due to poor plugins & theme code.
WP should have a reasonable idea if there is a fair chance of the update stuffing up a website.
And how to you propose this is done – given that there are almost 1700 themes and over 22,000 plugins hosted on www.ads-software.com alone? The potential permutations would be staggering. And that’s before taking into account all of the commercial themes & plugins.
Actually, what would help is for people like yourself to stop posting in multiple existing threads. It causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers by increasing the workload and prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Please post your own topic and stick to it.
