Has anyone had issues with the latest u/g of WP where they lose images from all over their sites?

I have lost a lot of images from my media library, the entry no longer shows the image. Its like the image gets deleted, but the entry stays behind.

Also, I use a couple of banner plugins, all been working fine, and now they have ALL stopped working after the u/g. Some of the images again have disappeared, but the entries remain. These plugins are WP Bannerize, Bannerize and MAx Banner Ads. None of these now work.

Any feedback and help here would be great!!

yep, they are all still there.

A friend of mind who has a number of sites, has had no issues whatsoever, so I dont know what to do next, other than rebuild the entire site, in terms of loading new images everywhere, finding a new plugin that will work …..

Look at this report and see if the text there is inserted by you or an intrusion/implant by hackers.

Yep, thats my own text, thanks
I dont know that service, so not sure why it was picking that up.

No, they have not done it by themselves. It is a testing tool. So, I just checked your site. That need not be 100% correct. That’s why I asked you if that’s posted by you.

    WPyogi asked you:

Have you asked GoDaddy about this?

Have you contacted your host regarding this problem? There is a real possibility that they must have placed some blocks/server configurations as the type of text that I invited your attention to trigger spam filters.

Yes, spoke to them first. As usual with GD, pretty unhelpful.
They basically said that if it was an WP issue that they dont get involved
Im going to try them again tonight/over the weekend

    Hi everyone, a new development

I just uploaded a new image and I cant see it in the library??

I have checked the file permissions on the GD hosting site and the file is not there!

When I go to the URL of the image, as shown in the library, it is actually there, so it seems to be an issue with WP not seeing the files.

    Any ideas please?

OK, I have just been through a complete NEW installation of Wpress and re-installed the database from one of my failing sites.
No change : the library is still not viewable from within Wpress.
This seems to be a WPress issue, not seeing the files which are there on my hosting account.
I can access each file if I enter its url into a browser, but Wpress cant access them?
What has been done to the new version that would turn this off?
I have been through the links above, but I dont fully understand all thats being said, so I have not been able to get anything extra from there.
    Can anyone help?
IU cannot get support direct from Wpress, only from this forum and Im now pulling my hair out as this issue doesnt seem to have a resolution. All of my sites have been affected and right now, they are all not working correctly.
As they generate my income, Im more than a bit concerned right now at what has happenend.
Is there anyone on this thread from Wpress who can shed some light??
    PLEASE.

    OK, more news.

Having spent the last hour or so going through this all with GD, I started to look elsewhere as it wasnt making much sense to me.

I have found that by using my browser, Firefox, in Safe Mode, they re-appeared, so I have now disabled all plugins and add-ons and that seems to have fixed the issue.

All very wierd and frustrating to the extreme, but thanks to all on here for your ideas and suggestions.

Hopefully this will be the end of it.

@grwiffen – glad to hear things seem to be working for you now.
    BTW –

cannot get support direct from Wpress

This is direct support from www.ads-software.com – but everyone here is a volunteer – www.ads-software.com does not have any staff or paid support.
