All themes including Twenty Sixteen fail to operate.

Can still login in to formated backend.

All themes and plugins up to date.

Tested with all plugins switched off, no difference.

Reinstalled update of WordPress 4.7.3, no difference.

Flushed cache; tested in unused browser (Chrome) as well as in Edge and Firefox.

    what is the error code?

Can you check the logs and see why is the site failing?

Is this a problem with some pages not returning any data and others working just fine? Or are all pages broken.

I checked error log on the server, nothing recorded. I’ll turn errors on in config?? Situation seems to be, css style sheets do not load. Inline style operates.

Seems server specific — 2 WP blogs on another “shared”server (same company), no problem. Four on my main shared server there, no css today in WordPress. Sadly the company tech support can’t be trusted not to make things far worse.

Post contents are intact, links work, but no theme css is served.

I just re-checked by loading Twenty seventeen, which I have not installed on this server before. In Firefox, it looks perfect, as do all the other themes I have available. In Edge and Chrome, no style sheets are served, just raw text and a bit of inline css.

So, my Firefox browser must still have s/thing cached (I did not delete the history) which is missing from Edge and Chrome. I’m guessing this missing part might be a js script, which is either broken or not called?

I deleted Jetpack and the site came back up. When I reinstall Jetpack 4.8 it will not activate.
