Hello, I’ve updated to 4.7.3 couple of hours ago, and I have just found out that photos cannot be displayed anymore on my website! Just the names of the photos are displayed, no photos!

Is this a 4.7.3 bug or what??!

I’ve registered my domain today and there is no plugin installed, uploaded my first post and wants to add an image through media, when I click on “select file” there is just no response. After reinstalling WP a few times, the problem still exists.

Finally someone with the same issue as I am having. I have deleted my entire site trying to resolve this. People keep telling me to clear the cache and deactivate all of my plugins. I have done that and I still cannot click the add media button and then the select file button and expect something to happen. Nothing happens.

I have the same problem. I have this for months now. It stopped after an update, but came back after another update.

I can’t use my sites anymore, I can only upgrade them or not use pictures.
Searching in the plugins is not possible anymore.

I use NGNX with let’s encrypt & I have the save all HTTPS option 2 chosen.

I have all my memory-shit together in the ini.php/ nginx.conf but I just can’t find the trick.

It is utterly frustrating.

By the way, for me it has nothing to do with a theme. The CHMOD’s are okay, it is something totally different, but I do not know how…

I have this problem in Chrome, while in FireFox it works as expected. New install with Divi theme and no plugins… No error logs whatsoever!?
Anyone got the solution?

I too have been facing the same issue for some time.
1. Failure to see the images uploaded…It looks like grey thumbnail boxes.
2. Inserting these greyed out images does not help.
3. I tried clearing the cache.
4. I updated wordpress and all the plugins.
5. Tried de-activating all the plugins.
6. Refreshed my site!
7. Same issue with the fresh setup of wordpress 4.7.3 without downloading any new plugins.
8. It seems to be a bug of 4.7.3…

Any update from WordPress on this?
I am loosing out sending important blogs.

Add Media uploads a file okay but when adding it to a page it uses incorrect link. Instead of wp-content/uploads/2017/03/ it puts in the path name of the current page.
Last week I tried manually putting this path name into the link and it worked, but tried this again today and it doesn’t. Generates Page not Found when trying to follow the link on the page.
Adding media worked okay until about a week ago but not now. Caused by upgrade to 4.7.3?

The images do appear in the folder wp-content/uploads/2017/03/ which is visible thru’ filezilla but appear as grey useless boxes in media in the wp-admin…Tried changing the file permissions too manually and even thru’ a code but still the same.

everyone facing same problem since 2 weeks . but its still not resolved ..
lol. whole world is running wordpress and its strange that we are few people who facing this problem . i am working on 3 sites , 0 plugins , twenty seventeen theme. but add media button not giving any response . even though console is also clean

problem is with google chrome only .
its working fine on firefox
