WordPress 4.7

Yes, WP4.7 creates thumbnails for PDF files! But for some people who can’t install Imagick API, this plugin supports to generate a PDF thumbnail.

And the plugin also is supporting to insert a thumbnail with pdf file link into the editor and to set pdf file as a featured image. They are not supported by WP4.7

Ver 1.5.1 is able to run on WP4.7, but there is some integrity problems. It means that WP4.7 and the plugin cause double generating. This is really an ugly situation.

I feel necessity to renovate the plugin for the future deployment, and I’m preparing ver 2.0. But It needs big change and more days to be released.

If you can do a quick hack to 1.5.1 just to stop the double generation when WordPress version is >= 4.7 that would be great.

I want to thank you too. I use this plugin so much that it’s really important to me to be able to stay informed before take some decisions regarding the major version upgrades.

(It’s always a good idea not to go ahead with the upgrades on very important websites and wait just a couple of days, as long as there is no security issues involved, right?)

I believe that for some plugin authors, the days after a major release upgrade would be really stressy days, so accept here my gratitude for your hard work. This has been a great example of how a plugin should be developed here in www.ads-software.com
