WordPress 4.0.1 has wrecked my site

  • Hi there

    I upgraded from 3.9.3 to 4.0.1, at which point my site stopped working properly . On my “home”, “about me” and “store” pages, nothing appears except the banner and the menu tabs. All the text and images have gone.

    How can I fix this? I really need the site for my e-commerce.

    Have you narrowed down what’s causing the issue by deactivating plugins & switching to a default theme?

    I have just spoken to my web hosting provider and they have restored my site to the previous version, which works perfectly for now.

    I will upgrade WordPress as soon as I can be sure that it won’t crash my site!

    One possible cause of the problem might be the theme I am using – Thesis 1.8 (www.diythemes.com). Is this theme compatible with WordPress 4?

    You would need to ask Thesis about that. See if they have any updates available.
