MotoPress appears to be incompatible with the latest version of WordPress – 4.1

We receive the error message :
MotoPress uses jQuery and jQuery UI with WordPress. Minimum jQuery version - 1.8.3. Minimum jQuery UI version - 1.9.2. Please update WordPress to version 3.5 or higher.

Rolling back to an older version of MotoPress does not seem to resolve the issue.

    – WP 4.1
    – MP 1.5.4

    running on IIS 7

i’ll provide web/php-logs and perform any tests needed to troubleshoot this issue. please advise.

edit; just recognized theres already MP2 on the market. WP doesn’t inform me about that although MP 1.5.4 is running on my site. either because of the 4.1 update or because i installed MP via “recommended plugin” as part of a theme framework. (the last option could be worth a look since im not sure if it was pre-packaged or linked to the wordpress plugin repo)

    – WP 4.1
    – MP 1.5.4
    – Cherry Framework
    – Running on IIS 7

The plugin has been upgraded as of today to 1.5.7.

This resolves the compatibility issue with WordPress 4.1.

I’m trying to update the plugin MotoPress but it’s not patching to 1.5.7.

The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

hi! mine isn’t working still… it gives the same error stated above.
how do i upgrade it? there is no upgrade option on my admin page.

Hi. I’m using motopress-content-editor-lite-1.5.5 trial version and have the same problem.

This upgrade or fix does not seem to be available to trial users.
Please somebody let us know how we can fix this.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

As many above, I too have the same problem. I’m on motopress-content-editor-lite-1.5.5. Where can we upgrade to 1.5.8?

    BR

Hey Guys, I wrote to Motopress support and they are fixing it for the lite version too:

“After release of WordPress 4.1 we’ve collided with some compatibility issues. They were fixed in our Pro (Full) plugin versions and will be fixed in a Lite version in a few days. Stay tuned.”

However, I just bought a year’s license and IT ROCKS! IT REALLY ROCKS!
PLUS If you are using the cherry framework (like I am experimenting with) then you can also install a plugin which enables “MotoPress and CherryFramework Integration” here (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/motopress-cherryframework/)! It just keeps getting better – I love this plugin already! Happy New Year All! ??

    Thanks…

I had this same issue with the MotoPress Content Editor Lite v.1.4.8 and found a solution:
Make sure you have activated the plug-in under the MotoPress -> License tab in your WordPress Dashboard. You get a 6-month free trial. After activating the plug-in, the update for v1.5.8 will be available via your WordPress Dashboard. Update as you would any other WordPress plug-in and problem solved.

    Thank You

I just bought it, $29. I thought it was gonna be way more but that’s fine. The 1.5.8 works really well. I recommend you do the same.

All compatibility issues with WordPress 4.1 were fixed in the 1.5.8 version. You can update your plugin in your WordPress dashboard. Thank you for using MotoPress.

I just purchased a license but when I click on edit with moto press nothing happens. All I see are spinning gears.

    Hi irinagoldman5,
Your question concerns the Content Editor plugin, contact our support team following this link: https://support.getmotopress.com/

My WordPress informs that both Cherry Plugin and MotoPress should be updated. But when I tried to update Cherry Plugin, it seemed to update fine, although it didn’t. And MotoPress doesn’t even provide me with the possibility to update.

I had an active license in my dev server and imported the website to production server using WP duplicator. After that I deactivated my MotoPress license from dev server and activated it on my production server.
