wordpress 4.2 media upload – An error occurred in the upload. Please try again l

    Hey guy,

    havent seen an update post of this kind since 6 months ago but when ever i try to upload any kind of media file it bounces back with the error message ‘An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later’.

    Reduced the file size to be less than 8mb, logged on and off, cleared browser cache, tried different browsers and tried using files with smaller resolutions. None of which have been successful. regretting the update to 4.2 and have no way to turn to for a solution. Anyone else experiencing the same or similar problem?

  • Did you try the basic troubleshooting procedure: disabling all plugins and switching to one of the default themes to see if that helps?

    i deactivated all plugins and switched over to the default theme. surprisingly enough no luck. starting to become quite frustrating.

    Do you have access to your server? You could check the error log for additional clues. Or ask your hosting company to help you with that.
