WordPress 4.4 Images now fuzzy and not responsive

  • The images on my kerrie-redgate.com site were fine before version 4.4.
    Now when I view my site’s pages on an iPad Air, many of the large images are fuzzy. I’m wondering if WordPress v4.4 is playing up with the retina display, as it was fine in the earlier WordPress versions.

    Also, the images are now supposed to be responsive in v4.4, but they are not really. When an image is beside text, the image does not scale down to accommodate the text on the iPad screen, but squashes the text area beside it.

    On an iPhone (4S, non retina display), the images are OK, as before v4.4, having been shifted to appear above the text and are not fuzzy at all.
