Please note that we have detected a conflict between the latest version of jQuery that was shipped with WordPress 4.5 and some themes that use smooth scrolling. As a result of this, an error is thrown and your maps no longer display.

Please update WP Google Maps to version 6.3.08 and Pro (if applicable) to 5.68, then go to “Maps” -> “Settings” and check the checkbox labelled “Over-ride current jQuery with version 1.11.3 (Tick this box if you are receiving jQuery related errors after updating to WordPress 4.5)”.

  • Does not work for me unfortunately

If I don’t check the box, I can see my markers, but can’t click on them and the map is not draggable

If I check the box, no markers appear on the map anymore

    Hi there.

It appears the Google Maps API is being loaded more than once on the page, which is causing an issue with your map (most likely from your theme).

Are you comfortable in removing the duplicate? It will most likely be found in the functions.php file of your theme.

    Hi,

Today I updated wordpress 4.5. Now google map does not working with shortcode. I can see map in plugin admin panel, but it does not loading in the site front-end. I am using DIVI theme. Plugin already updated with latest version. Anyone suggest me what is problem.

    Hey,

I was able to solve my problem by selecting 3.exp in the ‘map settings’ , ‘use google api’

    thank you

Interestingly, this was ticked on my settings page and was breaking the map and a slider on my site. I unticked it and now the map works fine along with other functionality!

    Glad this thread was here!

    Cheers! ??

I Ticked the checkbox “Troubleshooting Options:” in the plugin setting page. Now map is working again. ??

As some have found as well, in my case the checkbox in Maps > Settings to over-ride current jQuery with version 1.8.3 was already checked and broke not only the maps but some other non-map functionality as well. Unchecking the box, rather than checking it, fixed all issues.

    Hi Jonathan.

Thank you for your feedback regarding this.

We replaced jQuery 1.8 with version 1.11 in the attempt to resolve as many cases as possible. If this has caused on issue on your site though, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    anybody help ?

    thanks

marekmanonovy, apart from the layout error, i can drag your map around and click on your marker, so for me it works

yes but the layout is very importtant to me…

then make your map smaller ??

    edit map, width, 100%

and if 100% is not working, try 50 or use a size in pixels (450px)

nooo, you misunderstending.. a have a problem to make the theme running.. it should look like this link

then start another topic, this topic is about WORDPRESS THEMES conflicting with the plugin, not the MAP THEMES you can select in the plugin …

    Thanks for your feedback stefaanvandamme!

@marekmanonovy, Please set the width of your map to 100%, by going to the ‘Maps’ -> ‘Edit’ page. This will set the width of the map to the full width of the container, as stefaanvandamme mentioned previously, and will allow it to look like the screenshot you sent through ??
