Just upgraded to WordPress 5.0 and on all of my pages where you can add CSS, my existing code is saved and working. Adding new code looks like it is saved, but is not being added to the underlying html code.

I also notice the line numbering and text pasted overlap. If you bump down past line 10, the line numbering looks to fix itself, however any new css added does not save.

  • Yeh I seemed to be having this issue too on WordPress 5.0.

New codes are updated, but not working.

I’ve run into this issue since updating from WordPress 4.9.7 to 5.0.2. It looks to be a conflict with the Gutenburg editor stopping any changings from being saved when you update the page.

Depending on your theme, you might be able to bypass the Gutenburg editor on pages/post, but if not, you can install the Disable Gutenberg plugin. Not the best solution, but hopefully this can help people who aren’t using blocks while the Dev updates the plugin. ??

The issue has been fixed in the new version, thank you
