When I updated I got a message that some file was missing so I deleted the plugin. When I tried to reinstall I could not activate the plugin. I get Request Timeout. Don’t think I will install it again if my visits have not been stored. Not going to start over from 0
Exactly same as japanoholic reported.
Using WordPress 5.2.3 running Twenty Seventeen theme.
Then I downloaded directly from your website and attempted manual install. Does not activate. Just hangs.Hello There,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We have released new version – 6.0 with new enhancement with few new functionality in which, you can easily review your page visit records with a graph and chart. In our last version 5.2.3 we had functionality to display all pages and posts with together, but in our latest version – 6.0 we have divided pages and posts visit counts into two separate part so, we can easily manage/review visitor records.
In our latest version – 6.0, we have execute one data migration script in which we manage your old visitors data as per our latest plugin format.
But, we found that on if old visitors data is more than thousands like, more then 20, 000 or more than that on site then, our migration script is taking few more time to convert old visitor data into new layout and if, your server max execution time is not allocate sufficient then it may be through fatal error with allow memory size is Out of memory.
So, we are working on this query to optimize at maximum level and we will release next version soon by resolving this issue.
Thanks for your co-operate.
Let us know still you need any further assistance. We are happy to help.

Now it works but damn it is making my homepage slow. Loading a page takes 10 seconds or more. When I deactivate the plugin the loading speed is 1-2 seconds. Maybe something you can work on for the next update.
Problem solved but now I cannot translate “Total Website Visits:” string in settings or via 3rd party plugins.

Hello @tjpa, @babel31484, @japanoholic,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Actually, we had released new major changes with plugin version – 6.0.0 in the last week with a data migration script.
We faced some issues related to the data migration script from the customers whose Total site visitors count is more than approx 5,000+ so, it took some time and we have resolved that issue in next released version – 6.0.1 also you can see in the changelog and now it is working fine.
Let us know if after download to the latest version 6.0.1 still you facing any difficulties.
