There is an error upon activation when using WordPress 5.3. I get:

The plugin generated 280 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

I turned on the debug log and I see this:

PHP Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘activate_appointy-appointment-scheduler’ not found or invalid function name in ###/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 288

I also noticed that when your plugin is enabled and debug is turned on I get the following notice.

Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels is deprecated. Use capabilities instead. in ###/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4782

Same problem here. I see the error notice plus the Appointy calendar won’t display in the page where I used the Appointy shortcode. I was using WP 5.3 and PHP 7.3+ when this happened. Had to roll my WP version back to get Appointy working again so clients could book on the site.

    Hi
    Thanks for the feedback.
We have been able to replicate the issue at our end. The error message disappears once the page is refreshed. Its a simple warning and we will resolve that soon. Still the plugin is working perfectly without any constraints.

Let us know if you face any functionality issue.
We will soon push an update that will stop showing that error message.

    Regards
    Team Appointy
