WordPress 5.9, Google Site Kit 1,49.1 incompatible

    Thanks to my host’s detective work, he determined the latest version of Google Site Kit doesn’t play nice with the latest version of WordPress. It keeps throwing JSON errors.

    I’ve deactivated the plug-in and am waiting for an update. I tried the previous version 1.49.0, but it doesn’t work, either.

    I would advise deactivating the plug-in until Google’s engineers fix it.

  • @route66news Thanks for letting us know. We’ve received several reports of users seeing Invalid JSON errors in Site Kit with the notice “Over Quota.” We are investigating this error and will update here as soon as more information is available.
