WordPress addes a "-2" at then end of some page url's

  • I have a few pages that keep getting -2 added at the end of the URL. I’ve made sure there are no other pages, posts, or any other post format with the same names but no luck. Some page titles have a couple numbers like E10, E11 and E12 but nothing that I think would produce an issue with the dates in wordpress. The other url/title is “plank” which has no numbers. I’ve cleared my cache along with anything else I can think of with no luck. Any help would be great.

  • What about posts in the trash with the duplicated name?

    Another possibility is if you use plugin polylang and you have the same name on a post in another language.

    What happens when you visit the url WITHOUT the -2 in the url?
