    Hi All,

    I’m experiencing a strange problem since I moved a wordpress website – themifireport.com to a new server.

The problem is when an article is composed, wordpress inserts lots a
after the 10th word automatically. (it never used to do that).

I tried upgrading to 2.8, but the problem still happens.

Here is an example: https://www.mifireport.com/2009/06/global-partnerships-gets-microfinance-grant/. I have taken out the
through the design view and html view, but they are still there.

I am giving the disable-wpautop plugin (link) a try but I would like to be able to format the text through the WYSIWYG editor.

Just to throw it out there, could it be to do with the database dump/import through phpMyAdmin, limiting the line length or something silly?

I have loads of posts, so I can’t start from a clean DB ??

The plugin does indeed take out the formatting, but it takes out ALL the formatting, including links ??

I don’t think that the formatting was being inputted on the fly, because after saving the post the formatting would appear in the write panel once saved.

The above example link appears to be working now, but a new post has the problem of no formatting.

This is kinda whacky, but after installing the above plugin, the de-activating it seems to have stopped the formatting. So it’s either something to do with:
    – Switching from Safari to FF
    – Upgrading to 2.8
    – Physically re-formatting all of the text that had all the rogue html (I’m talking random divs, spans, and strongs everywhere)

Additionally we are deleting everything from each post, and pasting the content back in as plain text, and formatting doesn’t appear to be in anymore.

Not sure if it’s solved, but I’ll close this solitary thread anyway.
